Hey everyone! This is a blog where I will post my family's "paleo" meals. The paleo diet is garden vegetables (especially greens), lean meats, little starch, nuts and seeds, and no sugar.

We really like this diet and it makes us feel great! My sisters sometimes ask when we're going to be done eating like this, and somone responds by saying that we're never going to stop eating like this as a lifestyle. Although sometimes (it's probably more than sometimes) we don't follow it as strictly as we should. We like sweets!! Happy reading!

The 'T' lunch

For lunch one day, my mom got really creative! First, she cut a hole in the top of the tomato and scooped out most of the seeds (we fed them to the chickens so they didn't go to waste). Then, she mixed some tuna and mustard together and filled the tomatoes with the mixture. It looked pretty cool (I should take pictures of our food!). My mom made one for everyone, but unfortunately, someone ate mine and I so I can't tell you how good it is.

Mexican-Paleo... (kind of :)

Last night we had a mexican-paleo dish. My mom cooked chicken in the crockpot all day so by the end, it was easy to shred. Then she made salsa. Fist, she put half an onion, two cloves of garlic, a handful of cilantro, half a red pepper, squoze two key limes, and half a bottle of drained, homecanned tomatoes into the blender. As she blended it, she added some of the tomato juice because it was a little dry.
This recipe is better with fresh tomatoes, but we didn't have any! This recipe was also doubled.
While she was making the salsa, I cut up some fresh lettuce. So we would put lettuce
on our plate first, then some shredded chicken and top it with salsa. It was very filling and healthy!

Paleo Spaghetti

In a few minutes, we will be eating Paleo spaghetti. In the sauce we have, eggplant, oninons, mushrooms, red bell peppers, hamburger, fresh tomatoes, tomato sauce, and seasonings.
Instead of spaghetti noodles, we are eating the sauce over spaghetti squash; a very healthy substitute!
Pasta noodles are not healthy for you period. They're made of processed grains and usually white flour, which has no nutritional value. Even the noodles that they say are made of wheat flour are more processed than they need to be.
Noodles have no nutritional value, period.
